a glorious occasion

Of late i've been feeling rather restless.

A few months ago a beautiful friend announced she was engaged.

I'd shown many friends a few designs i've done (see previous post) and my friend approached me about designing her wedding invitations.

I was incredibly flattered and jumped at the chance, I couldn't think of anything more beautiful than being a part of a union of two beautiful souls.

Over the course of a few weeks I pieced together some designs and here is one of them.

This, I might add, is not the design the bride has chosen - I would never publish this.

However this is my personal favourite (aside from her chosen design).

Hello beautiful fashion lovers,

I've been on a bit of a hiatus for a while, i guess focusing on life.

But what is life without fashion?

I certainly don't want to live that life any longer.

Not like i've been a non-fashion-loving-sloth for a while, but still, I need to get my fashion fix.

To be honest, I have been secretly fulfilling my fashion craving.

As you know - I love fiddling round with photoshop.

It makes me miss my uni days, creating, blissfully having no knowledge of the outside working world with responsibilities and things of a so called greater importance than creativity.

So here you go - this is what I came up with.

When I first took a glance at the collection I was underwhelmed. But after a second, third and possibly fourth glance I really really love it. There are a few looks that I wasn't overly keen on but one thing that I love love love about Rodarte is that they always stick to their aesthetic. They never stray from their roots and that is something to admire. They evolve and grow and build upon what they are good at and it has paid off so well because everyone knows their success is HUGE!

There aren't enough words to describe my admiration for their talent.
